Music Festival Street Style - SXSW Edition

Now that the weather is a getting warmer, it is time for the music festivals to begin. First up on the list is South by South West, but better known as SXSW to hipsters nationwide, duh.

SXSW takes place in Austin, TX, known as the live music capital of the country. Popular acts were Klaxons, Miami Horror, MSTRKRFT, Afrojack, B.o.B., Bright Eyes, Duran Duran, Mac Miller, Wu Tang Clan, Erykah Badu, The Strokes and soooooooooooooo many more. Literally like shit tons of artists.

We love the music, but we weren't there to experience. HOWEVER! Thanks to ELLE.com we were able to check out some street style snaps from the festival. Here they are:

ALL OF THE LIGHTS pt. 2

Hometown hero and teen phenom Cris Cab does a cover of Kanye West's 'All of The Lights' with a reggae sound and of course, a Miami twist.

Kanye West just released the video for his next single 'All of the Lights' off the album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

This album might be one of my favorites from Mr. West. I never wrote about it before but he pretty much takes all the styles from College Dropout to 808s & Heartbreak and puts it into one album

The video was directed by the God of Music videos, Hype Williams.

I've always been a fan of Kanye's videos, especially since the twisted 'Flashing Lights'.

Surely, we don't mean it the same we she did...
So this is a little after the New Year, but give me a break here I just started this thing.

I know many of you, even if you won't admit it, are trying to hit the gym to shed a few pounds, tone up, and possibly prepare for Spring Break mayhem, or not.

 Well, whatever your motives be for getting into shape, you need a killer workout playlist. Are you tired of the same overdone playlist that consists of songs by Fall Out Boy, Lil Wayne, and 50 Cent?  Do you need a little uumph in your step?

I've been so le bored with my iPod lately! Everyday I am on the hunt for some new, refreshing tunes that make me feel the way The Killers did in 2005/2006, or how Kings of Leon did in 2009. (Still regret writing that paper instead of seeing the Killers that one time.)

Alas, I stumbled my way over to The Hype Machine and perused my way through the popular section. The usual stuff like The xx, Wiz Khalifa, and Dubstep remixes was all there...until I saw Cold War Kids. Now you're probably thinking, "is this like Russian Kidz-Bop crap"? No, actually, it's pretty freaking awesome. (And if you didn't get that joke, go read a newspaper or something.) While they've been around since 2004, and I've definitely heard of them, I never really gave them a shot. Their new album 'Mine Is Yours' came out this past Tuesday January 25th, and it's awesomeeeeeee. The first tracks I listened to were 'Royal Blue' and 'Louder Than Ever'. The lead singers voice sounds like butter on toast. It's smooth and rugged. I'm not a music critic, but this album is pretty sweet.
